    Release date for WordPress 2.8 

    The wordpress development team mentioned that a tentative release date of June 10th has been set.

    I know this is a really short post but I’ve been quite busy lately for more details on wordpress 2.8’s features check out this article.

    WordPress 2.8 Design Tweaks Poll 

    I know I know that I haven’t posted in a while but I’ve been busy anyway onto the post.

    Have you ever wanted to help shape the next version of WordPress but the coding scares you? Well now you can help the core developers by voting on the design for the wordpress 2.8 dashboard. The changes aren’t major but they are easily noticeable. The poll is located here

    WordPress 2.8 Alpha Tour 

    I’ve checked out a copy of WordPress 2.8 which is still under development from the SVN and I though you would like to see some screenies of some of the major changes.

    Those two things are the only things that really jumped at me as new.

      Have you played around with the widgets? Looks like they are drag n droppable again as in WordPress 2.3? Also, glad to see they have added an assortment of filters for the theme repository. They need to get those on the repository site.

    WordPress for Dummies Second Edition 

    After a hassle with Amazon over trying to find the shipping charges for the book I was going to buy from them I decided to purchase the book locally from Barnes and Noble. As a result I now have a copy of WordPress for Dummies 2nd edition. Which I do intend to write a review of when I have finished the book.
